Lisa van der Pool
Director of Media & Content Strategy
Lisa focuses on content creation and media strategy for a variety of clients at InkHouse. Throughout her career, she has always been passionate about storytelling and identifying the personalities who drive business news.
Prior to joining InkHouse, Lisa was the broadcast and social media editor at the Boston Business Journal, where she covered a slew of beats, including legal services, restaurants, advertising and small business. While there, Lisa discovered her passion for social media, launching the newspaper’s Twitter page and conducting numerous “Twinterviews” with executives in Boston. She also expanded beyond print, appearing in daily business segments first for New England Cable News and then for WBZ.
Before arriving at the BBJ, Lisa worked at Adweek, where she covered advertising and public relations in New England. She still considers herself an ad nerd, which means she not only watches “Mad Men,” but she watches commercials too.
When she’s not at work, she loves spending time with her husband, playing with her two cats, listening to live music, traveling and enjoying time with friends. She loves reading great writers, as well as the shocking and silly tales of celebrities in Us Weekly. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University.
