Heartbroken for Japan

Posted on: March 11th, 2011 by Beth Monaghan | 2 Comments

We at InkHouse, like everyone else, woke up to the terrible news of the massive earthquake and devastating tsunami that followed in Japan. I set up a column on Tweetdeck to monitor the news and the updates were coming so quickly that I could not even see them — it was like the scroll function got stuck. These kind of ineffable tragedies leave us without words. Our hearts are broken for the people there and our prayers are with them. Here are the links that have been the most compelling to us so far. We’ll update this as they come:

How you can donate

If you are looking for a place to donate, the American Red Cross has already set up a donation page. I also saw some Tweets today saying that you can text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10. Thanks to @kyleplacy, @alyssa_milano, @DavidAugust, @GlenGilmore for the information.

Feel free to add your links to coverage or places to donate in the comments.
